Basketball Game Preview: Penney Hornets vs. Wellington-Napoleon Tigers

The Penney Hornets and the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, Penney lost to Lathrop on the road by a 54-38 margin.

Meanwhile, Wellington-Napoleon came up short against Lone Jack on Saturday and fell 51-42. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wellington-Napoleon's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Penney, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Penney was able to grind out a solid victory over Wellington-Napoleon in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 59-46. Does Penney have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wellington-Napoleon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
