Volleyball Recap: St. Patrick's Starts off Right with Win over H&H

St. Patrick gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the H&H Bearcats.

St. Patrick's had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-22, 25-17.

Despite the loss, H&H still got an impressive performance from Jaylah Gross, who had 16 digs and one assist. Gross is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

H&H's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2.

St. Patrick's wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Central Valley on the 30th. As for H&H, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Anselmo-Merna on the 30th.
