Recap: Delta Bobcats vs. Bismarck Indians
The Delta Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Bismarck by a score of 65-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Sven Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bismarck, almost dropping a double-double on 34 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Daven Miller, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Delta's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Bismarck, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Delta will be playing in front of their home fans against Advance at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Delta's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Bismarck, they will head out on the road to challenge Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Greenville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bismarck in Missouri (Greenville is ranked 141st, while Bismarck is ranked 480th).
