Destiny Christian Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Rio Linda Knights get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 12 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Roxanne Sardo, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Rio Linda off the board. Sardo has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
