Basketball Recap: Benton Takes a Loss

Benton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Shullsburg Miners and fell 68-25. While losing is never fun, the Zephyrs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Miners are ranked 51st).

Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Shullsburg, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Highland the next time they take the court. Benton will host Highland at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, while Shullsburg will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
