Baseball Recap: Calhoun Victorious

Calhoun saw some tournament action on Thursday. They skirted past the Randle Lions 3-2.

Dane Spencer looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ricky Martinez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The win got Calhoun back to even at 1-1. As for Randle, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun will challenge Columbia at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Randle, they will square off against Needville at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
