Baseball Recap: French Settlement Takes a Loss

French Settlement lost against Riverside Academy back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. French Settlement fell just short of Riverside Academy by a score of 5-3.

Colin Hutcherson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hance Roussel, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

French Settlement has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. Riverside Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-9.

Looking ahead, French Settlement will host Northlake Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. French Settlement is facing Northlake Christian at the right time seeing as Northlake Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Riverside Academy, they will challenge A.J. Ellender at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
