Softball Recap: Pendleton Beats Hood River Valley for Their 21st Straight Victory

Pendleton faced Hood River Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Buckaroos walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Eagles. The win was just business as usual for the Buckaroos, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Pendleton's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 10.6 runs thus far. As for Hood River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton will welcome Redmond at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hood River Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mountain View at 1:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 4, the Cougars 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
