Volleyball Recap: Sperry Comes Up Short

After flying high against Webster on Tuesday, Sperry came back down to earth. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Dewey Bulldoggers on Friday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldoggers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Sperry's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Dewey, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0-2.

Sperry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Sequoyah on the 22nd. As for Dewey, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Summit Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 2.
