Basketball Recap: Shalom Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Shalom Christian Academy was the 53-34 winner over Heritage Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Shalom Christian Academy Flames took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heritage Academy Eagles. While the Flames didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 13-7 in the first quarter.

Shalom Christian Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Heritage Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season.

Shalom Christian Academy and Heritage Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. Shalom Christian Academy will square off against Hanover at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday up 504 places (149 vs. 653). Similarly, Heritage Academy (ranked 86th) will meet Mount Airy Christian Academy (ranked 200th) at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
