Softball Recap: Lawndale Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Lawndale duked it out with Hawthorne on Thursday. The Cardinals came up short against the Cougars, falling 20-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-4 on Tuesday.

Wendy Rosales was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Daisy Lopez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lawndale has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Hawthorne, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-13.

As of now, neither Lawndale nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
