Ripon Christian has gone 10-0 against Hilmar recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Ripon Christian Knights will head out to square off against the Hilmar Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Ripon Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Hilmar likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Ripon Christian got the win against Sonora by a conclusive 55-31. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Jake Vander Veen, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Tameling, who had 12 points.

Meanwhile, Hilmar unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 75-53 to Ripon. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 991st, while the Indians are ranked 487th).

Ripon Christian will have to keep a close watch on Xavier Silveira and Aaron Solorio, a pair of players who had a big impact on Hilmar's prior game. Silveira went 6 for 11 en route to 19 points and five boards, while Solorio dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Silveira has posted since back in February of 2024. Juelle Lindo was another key player, putting up eight points.

Even though they lost, Hilmar smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Ripon Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.3 points. As for Hilmar, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Everything came up roses for Ripon Christian against Hilmar in their previous matchup on January 8th, as the squad secured a 60-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ripon Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
