Basketball Recap: Coppell Comes Up Short

Coppell was the 48-46 winner over Hebron when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Coppell Cowboys fell just short of the Hebron Hawks by a score of 83-81 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (65), the Cowboys still had to take the loss.

Coppell has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Hebron, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

Coppell and Hebron could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Coppell (ranked 167th) will meet Guyer (ranked eighth) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Hebron will face off against Marcus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 94 places (144 vs. 50).
