Baseball Recap: Jamaica Takes a Loss

Edison Vo-Tech hit Jamaica with a four-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Beavers came up short against the Inventors, falling 9-3. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joshua Fonseca was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Alexander Valet also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Jamaica's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Edison Vo-Tech, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Jamaica will look to defend their home field on Friday against Edison at 4:00 p.m. As for Edison Vo-Tech, they are taking a road trip to challenge Springfield Gardens at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
