Volleyball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falls City Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jets of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Sterling may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 11 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11.

Gabi Young had an outrageously good game for Falls City as she had nine digs and eight aces. Those eight aces gave Young a new career-high.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Falls City, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coincidentally, Sterling and Falls City will both be playing Pawnee City the next time they take the court. The Jets will host the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
