Baseball Game Preview: Greenbrier Bobcats vs. Beech Buccaneers

The Greenbrier Bobcats will square off against the Beech Buccaneers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greenbrier will be strutting in after a victory while Beech will be coming in after a loss.

Greenbrier was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Christian Community on Friday. The Bobcats blew past the Colts 11-5. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Beech suffered their biggest loss since March 9th on Friday. They came up short against Clarksville, falling 13-3. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Beech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Powell, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Greenbrier is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Beech, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.
