Baseball Recap: Smith Vo-Tech Find Success

Smith Vo-Tech won the last time they faced Sabis International and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings walked away with a 7-3 win over the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly four runs.

The team relied heavily on Nolan Ingram, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Smith Vo-Tech is undefeated when Ingram posts two or more runs, but 2-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cayden Dionne, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Smith Vo-Tech and bumps their season record up to 6-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Sabis International, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Smith Vo-Tech didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against McCann Tech on the 11th. As for Sabis International, they have also already played their next matchup, a 15-0 defeat against Palmer on the 11th.
