Softball Recap: Boling Victorious

Boling's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Hill Country Christian School of Austin Knights by a score of 8-4.

The team relied heavily on Briseis Zavala, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two). Cheyanne Brooks was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Boling was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hill Country Christian School of Austin only posted a batting average of .267.

Boling's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Boling will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on East Bernard at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-1 defeat against Edna on the 1st.
