Basketball Recap: South Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

On Saturday, the South Bulldogs didn't have too much trouble with American International Academy as they won 49-35. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 42-22 by the end of the third, a deficit American International Academy cut but never quite recovered from.

It was another big night for John Glover, who posted nine points. Marquan Felts-Lipsey was another key player, putting up six points.

South is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points per game. As for American International Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

The future could be bright for both South and American International Academy: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. South will look to extend Briggs' 11-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, American International Academy will try to hand Northwestern their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
