Baseball Game Preview: Oak Hill Raiders vs. Spruce Mountain Phoenix

Oak Hill has gone 7-2 against Spruce Mountain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Raiders will welcome the Phoenix at 3:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Oak Hill came up short against Mountain Valley and fell 8-5. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braden Dubuc made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Oak Hill's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 4-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Braden New, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spruce Mountain). They blew past Lisbon 13-3 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Phoenix as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Spruce Mountain picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-13. As for Oak Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Oak Hill skirted past Spruce Mountain 12-11 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Phoenix turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
