Basketball Recap: Maysville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Thackerville last Friday, Maysville came back down to earth. The Maysville Warriors took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Turner Falcons. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Maysville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Turner, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Maysville will look to defend their home court on Friday against Springer at 6:30 p.m. Maysville is facing Springer at the right time seeing as Springer is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Turner, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wayne at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Turner's defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so Wayne's offense will have their work cut out for them.
