Volleyball Recap: New England Tigers vs. Hazen Bison

New England was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Hazen Bison. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

While New England had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 16-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Even though they lost, New England kept the net locked down and finished the game with ten blocks. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now had at least five blocks in five consecutive games.

New England's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13-3. As for Hazen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New England's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mott-Regent at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hazen, they will face off against Beach at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
