Warren came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Elsinore Tigers.

Warren had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-14, 15-10.

Elsinore's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Word, who had three digs, two blocks, and two aces. Sharrod Almoite was another key player, getting five digs and one block.

Warren's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-5. As for Elsinore, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6.

Coincidentally, Warren and Elsinore will both be playing Valley Christian the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Defenders at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bears will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
