Hillcrest gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took down the Manassas Tigers 30-12. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 20-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.

Hillcrest's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Justin Cunnigan, Marcellio Jackson, and Frederick Robinson, who each picked up one sack apiece. Erion Jefferson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Hillcrest has already played their next contest, a 54-0 victory against Douglass on the 28th. As for Manassas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 18-14 win against Trezevant on the 28th.
