Poly won the last time they faced Monroe and George Flores did his part to make sure it happened again. The Parrots put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 34-14 win on Friday thanks in part to Flores, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 274 yards and one TD. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 90-yard run.

Poly's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Monroe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Poly will face off against rival Verdugo Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Monroe is set to take on their familiar foe Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
