Troy has gone 8-2 against Canton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Troy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Canton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Troy's victory against Williamson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans skirted past the Warriors 7-6. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Canton lost 18-1 to Towanda on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Black Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Canton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylee Ward, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Ward is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Troy, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2.

Everything went Troy's way against Canton when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Troy made off with a 21-0 win. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
