Basketball Recap: Bridger/Belfry Drops Season-High Score on Reed Point/Rapelje

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bridger/Belfry). They blew past the Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades 57-31 on Thursday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Bridger/Belfry just coasted through the last quarter.

Reed Point/Rapelje lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gabe Baumberger, who posted nine points. The dominant performance gave Baumberger a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Landen Bryant, who put up 11 points.

The victory was the third in a row for Bridger/Belfry, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Bridger/Belfry will welcome Reed Point/Rapelje at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fromberg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
