Volleyball Recap: Brewer Wins Going Away Against Nokomis

Brewer's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Nokomis Warriors. The win continues a trend for the Witches in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Brewer's got stronger as the match went on, holding Nokomis to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-7, 25-5.

Brewer can attribute much of their success to Zoe Drake, who had eight digs and three aces. Drake is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Drake wasn't the only good server: Brewer was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nokomis only served five aces.

Brewer's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Nokomis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Brewer will take on Cony at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Nokomis, they will challenge Medomak Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
