St. Joseph had won five straight games and Katelyn Martinez did her part to make it six on Tuesday. The St. Joseph Jayhawks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rowland Hall Winged Lions 45-18 thanks in part to Martinez, who shot 4-for-5 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 29 times she's played.

Despite the loss, Rowland Hall saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lila Bates posted eight points.

St. Joseph's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points over those games. As for Rowland Hall, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
