Softball Recap: Corry Has No Trouble Against Girard

Corry got themselves on the board against Girard on Thursday, but Girard never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 on April 1st.

Corry has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Girard, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Corry will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cathedral Prep at 4:30 p.m. on May 6. As for Girard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Grape Pickers at the right time seeing as the Grape Pickers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
