Recap: West Chargers vs. Basehor-Linwood Bobcats
The West Chargers entered their tilt with the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. West secured a 51-46 W over Basehor-Linwood on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for West, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
West's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kamoni Ford led the charge by scoring 17 points. Caleb Noonoo was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
West's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Basehor-Linwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
West will look to defend their home court on Friday against Leavenworth at 7:15 p.m. Leavenworth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 278th, while West is ranked 94th). As for Basehor-Linwood, they will head out on the road to challenge Shawnee Heights on Tuesday.
