Baseball Recap: St. Ignatius Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

St. Ignatius blew Benedictine out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Benedictine got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since May 8, 2024.

St. Ignatius' defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Benedictine, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Ignatius will host Padua Franciscan at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Benedictine, they will take on Avon Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
