Softball Recap: Denmark Extends Winning Streak to Four

Denmark had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Freedom Irish. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 on Friday.

Denmark pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Freedom, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.

Looking ahead, Denmark will face off against Notre Dame Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tritons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.53 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Freedom, they will take on West De Pere at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
