Volleyball Game Preview: Northwestern Area Wildcats vs. Groton Tigers

Northwestern Area is 9-1 against Groton since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Northwestern Area sitting on ten straight victories and Groton on eight.

On Thursday, Northwestern Area got the win against Gettysburg by a conclusive 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-12, 25-17.

Northwestern Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elexis Kramp, who had 11 digs. Those 11 digs gave Kramp a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Troske, who had four digs and four aces.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Groton duked it out with Langford on Monday. The Tigers blew past the Lions 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-8, 25-21.

Northwestern Area's victory bumped their record up to 30-2. As for Groton, their win bumped their record up to 21-4.

Northwestern Area was able to grind out a solid victory over Groton when the teams last played on October 4th, winning 2-0. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
