Basketball Recap: Augusta Piles Up the Points Against Boone County

Augusta won the last time they faced Boone County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Augusta Panthers breezed by the Boone County Rebels to the tune of 57-27. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.

Augusta pushed their record up to 8-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26 points. As for Boone County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Augusta Panthers take on the Bath County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Boone County, they will head out to face off against Bishop Brossart at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Brossart will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Boone County surely won't give up without a fight.
