Soccer Game Preview: Shorewood vs. Bellevue

The Shorewood Stormrays will take on the Bellevue Wolverines on Saturday. Shorewood is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Shorewood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Central Kitsap a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that Shorewood have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Morgan Grutz, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Bellevue made easy work of Central Valley on Thursday and carried off a 5-0 victory. Considering Bellevue have won six matchups by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Bellevue and bumps their season record up to 13-6. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two games. As for Shorewood, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2-1.
