Baseball Recap: Brazosport Christian Comes Up Short

If Brazosport Christian was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Baytown Christian last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against HCYA on Thursday, falling 15-4. The Eagles have struggled against HCYA recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Brazosport Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Barnhart, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Brazosport Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for HCYA, they moved to 14-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brazosport Christian will host Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for HCYA, they will be playing at home against West Houston HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. HCYA's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunder have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
