The Bethlehem Central Eagles will head out to face off against the Chatham Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bethlehem Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Bethlehem Central is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 7-4 to the Spartans.

Lyla Hanlon put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Emma Hanlon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Chatham came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Titans 11-2. Considering the Panthers have won six contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Chatham pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.3 runs over those games. As for Bethlehem Central, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 8-4.
