Baseball Recap: Nottoway Takes a Loss

Nottoway was the 12-2 winner over Prince Edward County when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by just one run.

Eli Simmons was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Jadarrian Hendricks was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Nottoway has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Prince Edward County, they moved to 5-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
