Basketball Recap: St. Croix Falls Beats Cumberland for Their Third Straight Win

St. Croix Falls waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 46-26 margin over the Cumberland Beavers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-38 back in January.

Despite the loss, Cumberland still got an impressive performance from Melody Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. What's more, Taylor also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in November of 2024.

St. Croix Falls' record now sits at 7-15. As for Cumberland, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Coming up, St. Croix Falls is taking a road trip to face off against Spooner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cumberland, they will take on Ladysmith at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
