Football Game Preview: Ludlow Lions vs. Mahar Regional Senators

The Ludlow Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Mahar Regional Senators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mahar Regional took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ludlow, who comes in off a win.

Ludlow will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Taconic on Thursday. The Lions blew past the Thunder 33-8. Considering the Lions' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Mahar Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of Commerce.

Mahar Regional's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Ludlow, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Ludlow came up short against Mahar Regional in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 52-44. Thankfully for the Lions, Jayden Delgado (who picked up 198 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards) won't be suiting up this time.
