Softball Recap: York Gets the Win

York won the last time they faced Glenbard West and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Dukes came out on top against the Hilltoppers by a score of 12-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dukes.

York got a massive performance out of Emily McNichols, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-5. Those three runs gave McNichols a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gia Valentin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: York kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.

York's record is now 17-12. As for Glenbard West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.

As of now, neither York nor the Hilltoppers have any future games scheduled.
