Softball Recap: Crismon Beats Poston Butte for Their Fourth Straight Win

Crismon came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Poston Butte Broncos as they made off with a 13-7 win. Considering the Rattlers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma Phelps tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Skylar DaCosta was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Isabella Salado, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run.

Crismon lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March.

Crismon's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Poston Butte, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8.

Crismon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Broncos: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
