Recap: Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers vs. Stratford Academy Eagles
The Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stratford Academy. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy has not had much luck with Stratford Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jazmine Lopez, who scored 22 points along with three steals. The match was Lopez's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chelsea Reid, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Eagle's Landing Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Stratford Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-6.
Eagle's Landing Christian Academy and McIntosh will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Stratford Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Glenwood at 2:00 p.m. on January 6th.
