Volleyball Recap: Davidson Fine Arts Takes a Loss

Davidson Fine Arts lost against Lakeside back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Titans fell 2-0 to the Panthers. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Davidson Fine Arts ultimately came up short, they really made Lakeside work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17.

Jane Pennington paced Davidson Fine Arts' offense, picking up five kills. Pennington got some help from Margot Rychly and her eight assists. Pennington was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Davidson Fine Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lakeside, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davidson Fine Arts will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Harlem at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeside, they will host St. Vincent's at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
