Soccer Recap: Village Tech Takes a Loss

Village Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Newman International Academy Warriors, falling 6-2. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Viper Squid this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 back in December of 2024.

Jacob Bell and Matthew Castorena scored both of Village Tech's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Village Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Newman International Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Village Tech will square off against Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newman International Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against North Central Texas Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
