Baseball Recap: Carlisle Chiefs vs. The Covenant Eagles

After flying high against Eastern Mennonite last Friday, Carlisle came back down to earth. The Carlisle Chiefs fell just short of The Covenant Eagles by a score of 10-8 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Mason Wood and Luke Carter stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wood scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Carter scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Carlisle now has a losing record of 1-2. As for The Covenant, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
