Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln and Jacksonville squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Lincoln had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Jacksonville Golden Eagles 62-33. The Golden Bears haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Jacksonville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Neveah Nicholson led the charge by putting up 13 points and five steals. Jayci Taylor was another key player, going 7 of 15 on her way to 14 points along with six assists and five boards.

Lincoln's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-12. As for Jacksonville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

As of now, neither Lincoln nor Jacksonville have any future games scheduled.
