Hall-Dale put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Winslow Black Raiders a 7-0 shutout. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Lucy Gray made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Emma Perry and Torie Tibbetts did most of the damage at the plate: Perry went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run, while Tibbetts went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Tibbetts has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Hall-Dale's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Winslow, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hall-Dale will head out to face off against Maine Central Institute at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Winslow, they will venture away from home to challenge Belfast at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Black Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
