Softball Recap: Vincent Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shelby County, Vincent was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Talladega Tigers.

The team relied heavily on Ava Reese Waldrop, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenzie Fields, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Vincent's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Talladega, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Vincent will venture away from home to square off against Childersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Vincent is facing Childersburg at the right time seeing as Childersburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Talladega, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Talladega Tigers challenge Wellborn Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Wellborn has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.79 runs per game on average), something Talladega will no doubt try to take advantage of.
